THE SEASON OF LIGHT.   Epiphany follows immediately after the 12 days of Christmas.  The word Epiphany means "Revelation" or "Showing Forth."  God is revealed to the magi as the child Jesus, and later as an adult when he is baptized, anointed with the Holy Spirit and called God's Beloved Son.  The colors of Epiphany are white and green.  White indicates that the Epiphany of Our Lord and the Baptism of Our Lord are continuations of the joy of Jesus's birth.  Green suggests growth in the Spirit.  The star is the symbol of our journey with the magi.
