In June we conclude a terrific year in First Grade. We are now using all of the sound spellings we have learned to write our responses to the stories we read, answering questions and evaluating characters. Our Math skills include calendar, patterning, graphing, and counting by twos, fives, tens,and hundreds. And we have learned all of our addition and subtraction facts. In Social Studies we have learned about the brave men and women who began our country in the New World. In Civics we will have learned about authority, justice and responsibility. In Science have learned about living things all around us.
